Emails Drive You Crazy?

Do you ever read an email and just cringe? “Why didn’t they ask that in the first place,” you ask yourself after five emails back and forth.

Be mindful of the recipients’ time. The sales order may be important to me, but the item number is important to you. Add both to the subject line to save time for both of you. This makes the email searchable later.

If you need to know the best ship date, then ask that. Be specific. “Can you ship it Friday?” rather than “What’s your best date?” This saves time for both of you. “We can’t ship Friday, but we can ship Monday.”

Be respectful in your email and save the sarcasm for your BFF. If you can’t be professional, don’t send the email.
