Nobody Puts (my) Baby in a Corner

I don’t like to rant, so I’ll keep it civil. That’s my goal anyway, but it may not happen.

I respect teachers, you have a tough job I realize this, but some give others a bad name. A teacher told my grandson when it’s your time to die there’s nothing you can do about it after the recent shooting in Michigan.

He’s SIX years old!

Don’t EVER put my grandson in the back of the room.

This grandma could go ballistic, seriously. If you think his mother just had a house fall on her, you’re about to meet the sister.

I raised two children with ADHD, I read everything I could get my hands on, because as parents we’re responsible to educate ourselves to be able to help our children. My children sat in the front of the class, where it’s recommended, they be.

Yesterday my daughter explained she was looking for a private school for him. His teacher complains that he doesn’t know his ABCs yet or he’s disruptive in class.

First, why have you failed to teach him? Why do we blame the child first and ourselves second? If your method of teaching doesn’t teach ALL children, then excuse me but you suck.

A “student-teacher” tried to tell me that my son didn’t apply himself in the fifth grade. My son consistently read 3-grade levels beyond his current grade. I asked her why she couldn’t teach an intelligent child? Why couldn’t she get his interest?

We have some serious discussions coming to help our children. We’ve put them in masks for two years and expect them to be angels? Who are we kidding, certainly not the children?

It’s easier to put them in a mask, put them in the back of the class and forget about them.

Grandparents — what are we going to do about this?

We’re going to have a discussion in this house and come up with a solution for the child, not for the teacher.
